Abstract

The study explores the significance of the aspect ratio parameter on a solid oxide fuel cell's performance with rectangular, trapezoidal, and triangular obstacles in the flow channel. Using numerical methods, the research validates the impact of resizing obstacles on velocity profiles, polarization curves, and molar fractions of oxygen and water. Notably, the optimal design involves rectangular obstacles covering the entire flow channel, improving output power by 40%. The findings offer valuable insights into enhancing fuel cell efficiency through strategic obstacle placement.
