Abstract

The study 'Silicon Sources on Biochemical Responses and Corynespora cassiicola Control in Cucumber Plants' delves into the potential of silicon-based fertilizers in mitigating the fungal disease Corynespora cassiicola in cucumber crops. It examines the in vitro sensitivity of the pathogen to different silicate formulations and evaluates the efficacy of silicon application in controlling target spot disease under controlled greenhouse conditions. Additionally, the research investigates the biochemical responses of treated plants, shedding light on the mechanisms by which silicon enhances plant resistance. The findings offer promising alternatives to conventional fungicides, contributing to sustainable disease management strategies in cucumber cultivation.
