Abstract

This article delves into the simulation of operating regimes for two gyrotrons sharing a common resonant reflector, focusing on the stabilization of radiation frequency and the achievement of coherent radiation. The study examines how varying the guiding magnetic fields in each gyrotron can significantly increase the permissible detuning of their eigenfrequencies, allowing for stable, high-power operation. Key topics include the impact of resonant reflectors on gyrotron performance, the conditions for coherent radiation, and the effects of beats on frequency stabilization. The article concludes that coherent generation of 170 GHz gyrotrons is possible with a difference in their eigenfrequencies of up to 93.5 MHz, highlighting the potential for practical applications in high-power gyrotron systems. The detailed simulations and experimental considerations provide valuable insights into the behavior of gyrotrons under these conditions, making this study a crucial resource for professionals in the field.
