Abstract

The article presents the Single-scale Robust Feature Representation (SRFR) model for occluded and holistic person re-identification tasks. It addresses the challenges of occlusion and intra-class variations by introducing a lightweight spatial memory module that localizes discriminative features using self-attention architecture. Additionally, the model employs a novel occlusion-based data augmentation strategy to enhance its robustness. The SRFR model is evaluated on various datasets, demonstrating superior performance compared to existing methods. The article also includes ablation studies and visualizations to validate the effectiveness of the proposed components.
