Abstract

The article delves into the sintering process with gaseous fuel injection, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. It discusses the challenges of uneven thermal conditions in the sintering layer and the potential of gaseous fuel to create more favorable temperature and time conditions. The study presents experimental results from the Ural Steel Company, demonstrating that gaseous fuel injection can significantly improve sinter quality, yield, and productivity. The article also addresses the safety measures and limitations of this technology, concluding that optimal gas consumption can lead to substantial improvements in the sintering process.
