Abstract

The chapter delves into the transformative potential of technological innovations such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and remote sensing in revolutionizing water management. It emphasizes the critical role of real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and leak detection in improving the sustainability and resilience of drinking water supply networks. The text provides an in-depth examination of the SuperPeer architecture, highlighting its advantages over centralized and pure P2P systems. It discusses the methodology used to design a SMART Water Management System based on the SuperPeer architecture, including the collection and analysis of sensitive data to support decision-making. The chapter also explores the implementation of smart water meters and their role in detecting anomalies, optimizing water usage, and reducing maintenance costs.
