The chapter delves into the challenges posed by Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed DoS (DDoS) attacks in SIP-based VoIP systems. It begins by highlighting the vulnerabilities of the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and the impact of these attacks on voice communication services.
