Abstract

This chapter presents the specifications of a collaborative platform designed to facilitate intercompany maintenance information sharing, with a focus on a wood derivatives company operating multiple plants worldwide. The platform aims to capture and disseminate knowledge among maintenance technicians and decision-makers, leveraging Industry 4.0 concepts such as data-driven decision-making and advanced information technologies. The study highlights the need for improved data quality and the potential benefits of collaborative work in enhancing maintenance performance and reliability. The chapter also includes a detailed analysis of the platform's requirements, information architecture, and prototype development, showcasing the practical applications and potential impact of the proposed solution.
