Abstract

Im Verkehrssektor steht die Energiewende noch am Anfang: Der erneuerbare Anteil an Kraftstoffen beträgt 5 % und beschränkt sich neben geringen Anteilen am elektrischen Schienenverkehr fast ausschließlich auf Biokraftstoffe. Dabei verbraucht der Verkehrssektor, also der Straßen-, Luft-, Schiffs- und Schienenverkehr, etwa 30 % der Endenergie Deutschlands, und die Abhängigkeit vom Energieträger Erdöl ist mit über 90 % noch sehr hoch. Damit verbunden liegt der Anteil der Klimagas-Emissionen dieses Sektors bei 20 %.
