Zusammenfassung

Mixed-Reality-Spiele, die digitale Inhalte mit der realen Umgebung verknüpfen, finden mehr und mehr Einsatz im kulturellen Sektor. Der Reiz dieser Spiele liegt darin, dass sie beispielsweise in einer historischen Stätte stattfinden oder direkt mit Ausstellungsexponaten interagieren. Das Design dieser Spiele ist dabei gemeinhin Profis überlassen. Personen der kulturellen Institution stehen zwar beratend zur Seite, haben aber kaum Einfluss auf das Spieldesign. Mithilfe der sogenannten „Mixed Reality Game Cards“ können sie hingegen kooperativ am Designprozess teilnehmen. Hierbei handelt es sich um Ideationskarten, die die grundlegenden Konzepte von Mixed-Reality-Spielen auf spielerische Art erlebbar machen. Karten beschreiben potenzielle Spielmechaniken und konfrontieren Nutzer mit offenen Fragen sowie typischen Problemen. Verschiedene Mechanismen fördern Kreativität und Inspiration und strukturieren den Designprozess und Diskussionen. Die Karten ermöglichen so die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Spieldesignern und Experten aus anderen Fachbereichen.
