Volkswagen hat die Modelle ID.4 und ID.5 überarbeitet. Das wichtigste neue Technologie-Feature aller ID.4 und ID.5 mit 77-kWh-Batterie (netto) ist der MEB-Hinterachsantrieb APP550. In den Modellen ID.4 Pro und ID.5 Pro kommt nun ein stärkerer E-Motor mit 210 kW Leistung zum Einsatz, der ein maximales Drehmoment von 545 Nm bietet. Der ID.4 Pro 4Motion entwickelt mit der neuen hinteren E-Maschine und einer zusätzlichen E-Maschine an der Vorderachse ebenfalls eine Systemleistung von 210 kW. Auch die Dualmotor-Modelle ID.4 GTX und ID.5 GTX bekommen die neue E-Maschine hinten, sie bieten eine Systemleistung von 250 kW. Sie beschleunigen in 5,4 s von 0-100 km/h und werden wie die Pro-Modelle bei 180 km/h elektronisch abgeriegelt.
