Abstract

The article presents a stable emotional adaptive neuro-control system for uncertain affine nonlinear systems with input saturation. It introduces a radial basis emotional neural network with an averaging thalamic connection, offering continuous and differentiable outputs. The proposed network is employed in an adaptive controller that maintains the nondecreasing constraints of amygdala weights and includes a robust compensator to mitigate uncertainties. Simulations on various nonlinear systems demonstrate the superior tracking performance and robustness of the proposed controller compared to existing neuro- and fuzzy-based approaches.
