Abstract

This chapter delves into the standardization of the Mine-Call-Factor for three generational models, using the ASARCO Mission Mine in Arizona as a case study. It identifies key issues in current measurement and reconciliation practices, emphasizing the need for accurate data to optimize mining models. The chapter discusses the importance of precise measurement procedures and the impact of inaccurate tonnage capture on grade calculations. It also highlights the role of the MineSight Planner Reconciliation Utility tool in generating end-of-month reconciliation reports and comparing mined forecasts with actual production. The chapter concludes with a summary of twelve-month mine reconciliation factors for different models, providing valuable insights into the effectiveness of predictive models in mining operations.
