Abstract

This chapter delves into the strength and durability characteristics of reclaimed pavement material (RPM) using the full depth reclamation (FDR) technique. The study focuses on evaluating the mechanical properties of cement-treated base (CTB) with RPM, including compactability, unconfined compressive strength (UCS), flexural strength, and durability. The research highlights the environmental and economic benefits of FDR, demonstrating its cost-effectiveness and reduced impact on the environment compared to traditional stabilization methods. The findings suggest that FDR with cement and a suitable admixture is a reliable technique for the rehabilitation of rural roads, offering enhanced strength and durability. The study provides valuable insights into the performance of RPM in road construction, making it a crucial resource for professionals seeking sustainable and efficient road construction solutions.
