Abstract

The article delves into the stretch flangeability of heat-treated dual-phase (DP) steel alloy sheets, highlighting the challenges and benefits of using advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) in automotive applications. It examines the impact of various heat treatment techniques, such as annealing, normalizing, and tempering, on the material's formability and mechanical properties. Through a combination of experimental and numerical analysis, the study investigates strain distribution, thickness variation, and geometrical accuracy of flanged components. The findings offer valuable insights into optimizing heat treatment processes to enhance the stretch flangeability of DP steel, contributing to the development of more efficient and reliable manufacturing methods in the automotive industry.
