Abstract

The modernization of freight wagon design is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and safety of railway transport, particularly in international corridors. This chapter investigates the feasibility of using Y25 bogies under long flat wagons, focusing on their dynamic performance, braking systems, and structural integrity. Through detailed calculations and simulations, it is demonstrated that Y25 bogies can significantly reduce vertical dynamic loads, improving the overall stability and safety of the wagons. The study also explores the integration of disc brakes, which are essential for high-speed operations, and provides a thorough analysis of the flat wagon's structural strength. The findings suggest that the use of Y25 bogies under long flat wagons could lead to substantial improvements in transport efficiency and safety, making it a promising avenue for further research and implementation in the railway industry. The chapter concludes with a comprehensive evaluation of the main parameters of the disc brake, dynamic indicators, and structural strength, paving the way for future advancements in railway transport technology.
