This paper designed a cochlear implant speech signal processing platform, using S3C2440A chip based on ARM920T. The system implemented speech data collection, speech signal processing, the liquid crystal displaying and controlling modules. It achieved some processing functions as pre-processing, pre-emphasis, sub-band extraction, envelope extraction and compression. The hardware and software debugging result showed that: the speech processing platform based on ARM9 can adopt the CIS algorithm to achieve cochlear implant speech signal collection and processing in real time accurately. This speech signal processing platform provided an embedded hardware platform for the research of Cochlear Implant, which has highly practical value with spreading meaning.
