Study on Causing Disaster and Removing Danger for Stress Concentration of Overlying Residual Coal Pillar in Ultra-close Multi-seam

Abstract

Taking the No. 11-2 overlying residual coal pillar of Dalupo colliery in Shanxi province as research object, the criterion equation in ultra-close multi-seam is analyzed by elastic–plastic theory and slipping line field theory, the overlying coal pillar stability is analyzed by using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. On this foundation, the limiting dimension of overlying residual coal pillar are studied by numerical simulation, the blasting depth for effectively caving is determined by field experimental verification. The research suggests that No. 11-2 coal pillar of 4 m wide and 15 m long is relatively stable and not to easily deform or collapse, 3 m mining height and 5 m mining width is rather safe in the 6 m long coal pillar. Lastly the limiting dimension of coal pillar is no more than 3 m; the blasting depth for effectively caving is no less than 15 m.
