Abstract

The study focuses on the critical safety distance between shield tunnels and front fault fracture zones in urban metro construction. It utilizes numerical simulations to understand water inrush risks and proposes a formula for safe distance calculation. The research highlights the importance of considering factors such as cutter head diameter, water pressure, and fault thickness in determining this distance. The article also discusses the sensitivity of these factors and provides a regression formula for practical application in urban metro shield tunnel excavation projects.
