Abstract

The study focuses on the interaction behavior of cerium oxide-containing slag with MgO-C bricks in steelmaking processes. It utilizes X-ray diffraction and computed tomography to analyze phase transformations and penetration depths, revealing that cerium oxide significantly reduces slag penetration and enhances refractory durability. The research highlights the transformative effect of cerium oxide on slag viscosity and phase stability, offering insights into improving the performance of refractory materials in harsh industrial environments.
