Abstract

The study investigates the optimization of process parameters in the liquid–solid infiltration extrusion (LSIE) method for producing continuous carbon fiber-reinforced aluminum matrix composites. It delves into the effects of preheating temperature, pouring temperature, and infiltration pressure on the infiltration quality and mechanical properties of the composites. The research highlights the critical role of these parameters in enhancing the overall performance of the composites, addressing thermal stress issues, and providing a scientific framework for high-performance composite preparation. The use of advanced techniques like vacuum pressure infiltration and regression modeling offers valuable insights and practical guidance for the aerospace and manufacturing industries.
