Companies that make an outstanding contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals can still apply until February 9, 2025.
Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH
The ATZ/MTZ Group and Arthur D. Little are presenting the Sustainability Award for the automotive and mobility industry for the fourth time in 2025. It honors outstanding examples of sustainable solutions across four different categories. The selection and awarding of the contributions are based on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which address key global challenges in the areas of ecology, society and governance. This means that:
- The product or solution must contribute significantly to at least one of the 17 UN SDGs.
- At the same time, it must not significantly impair any of the SDGs.
- The product or solution must be marketable and realizable. The feasibility and the contribution to sustainability must be verifiable.
The award will be presented in 2025 in the categories of mobility concepts and technology. Further prizes will be awarded to start-ups for sustainable mobility. This year's special category of the award recognizes projects and solutions that have applied open innovation approaches in the service of sustainability in a special way. The category of mobility concepts includes the areas of services, infrastructure and business models. The technology category is divided into the areas of complete vehicle, drive technology, supply chain, materials and recycling management.
Submissions of products and services from vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, service providers and start-ups in the areas of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, two- and three-wheelers, as well as micro and urban mobility, are welcome.
