Smart Drip Irrigation System Using IoT
G. S. Brunda, N. Mohan, P. Sreekanth Reddy, Raghavendra Prabhakar Bhandari, Roopa, D. Sachin, G. L. ThejashreeAbstractWater is a vital component in human life. Water usage is rising along with globalization and population growth on a daily basis. Drip irrigation system uses water and fertilizers effectively. The Subsurface drip irrigation system irrigates the crops directly to the root zone. Drip irrigation is particularly for crops that require a constant moisture content in the soil, hot and widely environmental conditions. Subsurface application of water to the root sector has the ability to enhance yields by decreasing the illness. The majority of irrigation systems are manually operated. One of the crucial functions in the sector of agriculture is automation. The sensors used detect changes in the surrounding environment’s temperature, humidity, and moisture level and then send a signal to the microcontroller. This study mainly focuses on decreasing water usage and the human involvement in the field to save farmers’ time and energy. The results revealed that the moisture sensor senses the moisture content of soil, motor supplies water to the field and the flow sensor detects the blockages in the pipelines. If the moisture level in the soil is less than the optimum moisture content, the water will start to flow through the emitters. Once the moisture content reaches the optimum level, then the flow stops. -
Key Role of the Digital Competitiveness of Ukraine in Increasing Its Investment Attractiveness
Leonid Dolinskyi, Serhii Hushko, Victoria SolovievaAbstractThis study explores the evaluation of investment attractiveness of Ukraine’s economy according to a set of generally recognized investment indicators such as: Global Competitiveness Index, Index of Economic Freedom, the Ease of Doing Business Index, Corruption Perceptions Index, World Digital Competitiveness Ranking and Ukraine`s sovereign credit ratings.
