Abstract

The article delves into the interdisciplinary field of nanotechnology, focusing on the synthesis and applications of gold-embedded zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles using natural extracts. The study emphasizes the use of Amaranthus retroflexus leaf extract for the green synthesis of these nanoparticles, which exhibit exceptional properties such as enhanced biocompatibility, improved conductivity, and increased surface functionality. The nanoparticles demonstrate significant potential in various biomedical applications, including antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, antioxidant capabilities, and anticancer properties. The article also explores the photocatalytic degradation of antibiotics, highlighting the efficiency of these nanoparticles in environmental remediation. The synthesis process and characterization techniques, such as XRD, FTIR, TEM, and DLS, are thoroughly discussed, providing a detailed understanding of the nanoparticles' structure and properties. The study concludes with a discussion on the potential of these nanoparticles in revolutionizing medical treatments and environmental sustainability, paving the way for future research and applications.
