Abstract

The article explores the sustainable synthesis and process optimization of oleic ethanolamide (OEA), a versatile compound with a wide range of applications in clinical medicine, drug discovery, biotechnology, agriculture, and cosmetics. It delves into the therapeutic potential of OEA, including its anticancer effects, role in controlling type 2 diabetes, and its use as a surfactant in the cosmetic industry. The article also examines the environmental and economic implications of OEA production, with a focus on palm oil as a primary raw material. It discusses the challenges and opportunities associated with the sustainable production of OEA, including the need for policies to limit deforestation and the potential for using renewable raw materials. The article also provides a detailed analysis of the industrial applications of OEA, highlighting its use in the detergent and agriculture industries, as well as its potential as a biofuel precursor. It concludes by discussing the future prospects for OEA, including the potential for enzymatic synthesis to improve the sustainability and efficiency of OEA production.
