Abstract

This chapter delves into the strategic alignment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with energy and climate action projects, emphasizing the need for international cooperation to achieve net-zero carbon emissions. It uses a systems thinking approach to analyze the interdependencies between SDGs 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 13 (Climate Action), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), creating causal loop diagrams to understand the dynamics of these synergies. The chapter highlights the importance of renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency, and sustainable energy practices in mitigating climate change. It also stresses the role of global collaboration and geopolitical partnerships in promoting climate action and sustainable development. By addressing delays and enhancing synergies, the chapter aims to contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for the planet.
