Abstract

The article delves into the development of high-performance photoanodes for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) by incorporating 2D graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) into bimetal oxide photoanodes. The study focuses on the synthesis of NiMoO4/g-C3N4 composites using an ultrasonic-assisted hydrothermal method and their characterization through various techniques such as XRD, SEM, and Raman spectroscopy. The results show that the composite materials exhibit enhanced crystallinity, increased surface area, and improved photocatalytic properties. Electrochemical analysis reveals superior charge transfer capabilities and reduced recombination rates, leading to higher photovoltaic performance. The study concludes that the NiMoO4/g-C3N4 composite is a promising material for advanced DSSCs, offering potential for enhanced solar energy conversion.
