Abstract

The article presents the synthesis and characterization of a biodegradable AL-g-poly(AAM) hydrogel for controlled fertilizer delivery. The hydrogel, derived from Indian gooseberry, demonstrates high swelling capacity, excellent water retention, and sustained release of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP). Its biodegradability and environmental friendliness make it a promising solution for sustainable agriculture. The study also includes plant growth experiments that showcase the hydrogel's potential in enhancing crop growth and soil health.
