Abstract

The article explores the synthesis and characterization of 4-methylbenzylammonium oxalate hydrate (4MLBAOX), a novel organic crystal with potential applications in laser technology. The crystal's structure, analyzed using Single-Crystal XRD, reveals a monoclinic structure with strong intermolecular interactions. Spectral analyses, including UV-Vis-NIR and FTIR, demonstrate its excellent optical transparency and vibrational properties. Additionally, the crystal exhibits notable third-order nonlinear optical characteristics, as evidenced by Z-scan analysis, indicating its potential for use in optical limiting devices and frequency conversion processes.
