Abstract

The article introduces a wireless power transfer (WPT) system designed for rotating objects, leveraging parity-time symmetry (PTS) to maintain stable power transmission. Unlike traditional systems using disc-shaped or conical coils, this approach ensures constant transmission power and efficiency even during rotation. The study focuses on solenoid coils, which are thicker but can occupy a smaller area, expanding potential applications beyond robotic arms to include devices like tablets and laptops. The authors present dynamic experimental results, confirming that PTS preserves consistent transmission power and efficiency during fast rotation. The article also explores different resonant circuit topologies, highlighting the S-SP topology as the most suitable for minimizing the critical magnetic coupling coefficient. The theoretical analysis and experimental validation demonstrate the superior performance of the PTS-WPT system in dynamic environments.
