4. Tagebuch einer journalistischen Recherchereise durch Madagaskar

Zusammenfassung

Die folgenden Einträge sind im Rahmen einer Recherchereise entstanden, die von der Heinz-Kühn-Stiftung finanziert wurde. Anfang 2014 hatte in Madagaskar eine neue Regierung unter Hery Rajaonarimampianina die Macht übernommen. Das Ziel der Reise war es, auszuloten, ob und wie dieser politische Einschnitt einen Neuanfang für Bevölkerung und Natur darstellte. Wie bereits für die anderen Tagebucheinträge angemerkt, gilt auch hier: Die Ereignisse liegen inzwischen mehrere Jahre zurück. Einiges ist dadurch nicht mehr aktuell (inzwischen gibt es zum Beispiel wieder eine neue Regierung in Madagaskar). Nichtsdestotrotz dienen die Texte als Zeitzeugnis, das ein Licht auf die Lage der Insel im Jahr 2014 und ihre Entwicklung seitdem wirft. Wie im ersten Teil sind die Tagebucheinträge ergänzt durch neu verfasste Textboxen, in denen Madagaskarexpertinnen und -experten persönliche Projekte und Erfahrungen auf der Insel beschreiben oder ein im Tagebuch erwähntes Thema vertiefen. Und noch etwas: Ich bin nicht allein auf diese Reise gegangen. Mein damals 70-jähriger Onkel Ernst hat mich kurzentschlossen begleitet. Von ihm stammen auch die meisten Fotos zu den folgenden Einträ gen.
