Abstract

The article discusses the application of a Takagi–Sugeno Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) for a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) operating in stand-alone mode. It addresses the challenges of uncertain load variations and rotor speed disturbances, which affect the performance of DFIG systems. The study compares the proposed FLC with classical PI controllers and Mamdani FLCs, showcasing its superior control performance and reduced computational burden. The research includes comprehensive simulations and experimental validations using a 3-kW DFIG test bench, demonstrating the FLC's effectiveness in various operating conditions. The article concludes by highlighting the practical implementation advantages of the proposed FLC, making it a valuable contribution to the field of renewable energy and electrical engineering.
