This issue of the journal is a special issue from the AECT DELT and STC divisions. The issue was organized by Drs. John H. Curry and Jin Joy Mao who served as guest editors. Drs. Curry and Mao provided excellent leadership for the issue. Their commitment to assembling thoughtful and thought-provoking scholarship has resulted in an issue I believe will be interesting and useful to the readers. I am grateful for the considerable time and effort Drs. Curry and Mao have devoted as guest editors. You can read their introduction to the special issue papers in their Guest Editors’ Notes. The issue also includes some of the regular columns that appear in the journal such as Rethinking Creativity and Technology in Education and Graduate Member Musings. The issue concludes with an editorial I was fortunate enough to have Professor Paul Kirschner help author. The editorial, Innovation of Instructional Design and Assessment in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence, highlights some of the issues our field is facing with the availability of generative artificial intelligence to learners. In addition to the new January 2024 issue, there are some transitions in our profession to relate. …
