Abstract

The article delves into the critical issue of temperature rise in permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) operating in high-altitude environments. It highlights the significant impact of boiling heat transfer (BHT) on motor performance, which is often neglected in current research. The study combines theoretical analysis, numerical simulations, and experimental validation to provide a comprehensive understanding of BHT's effects on motor temperature fields. The authors present a detailed model for simulating BHT and compare it with single-phase flow models, demonstrating a more accurate representation of experimental data.
