Abstract

This chapter delves into the significant influence of financial literacy as a moderating factor between financial inclusion and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the culinary sector of Sanur, Bali, Indonesia. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the global economy, including Indonesia, where SMEs have been particularly vulnerable. The research aims to understand how financial inclusion can positively impact SME growth and how financial literacy can moderate this relationship. The study employs a quantitative method to measure the direct impact of financial inclusion on SME growth and the moderating effect of financial literacy. The results show that while financial inclusion has a positive impact on SME growth, the effect is not significant. Similarly, financial literacy positively moderates the relationship between financial inclusion and SME growth, but not significantly. The chapter concludes by emphasizing the importance of financial literacy in enhancing financial inclusion efforts and SME growth, particularly in the culinary sector of Sanur.
