The Canota district represents an approximately 4-km-long belt which comprises two mines, La Victoria and Pirucha, and two prospects, Don Manuel and Ramoncito (Fig. 1). The area ist located about 37 km north-northwest of the city of Mendoza, (province of Mendoza, Argentina).
