Both the construction industry and the passenger car sector have the common goal of acquiring autonomous and networked processes. Rosa Meckseper, Head of Corporate Strategy at Continental, explains how this target can be achieved in this interview with ATZheavyduty.
Dipl.-Ing. Rosa Meckseper (born 1977) studied Industrial Engineering at the TU Berlin. She gathered experience at this time in managing large construction sites such as an inter-city express railroad and a greenfield hospital construction site. After completing her studies in 2004, she started work as a business consultant at Arthur D. Little in Berlin (Germany). Her job there was to advise customers in strategic mandates in markets such as Brazil, China, Germany, Italy, Japan and Kuwait. In July 2015 she moved to Bosch as vice president for the business area Chassis Systems Control. Early 2018, she became Head of Strategy and Innovation in the central pre-development at Continental. In this position, she was responsible for the strategic development of future fields such as electromobility and autonomous driving. From 2020, she has headed corporate strategy. Her tasks include the prioritization of new business fields and growth markets, to which the off-highway sectors such as the construction industry belong.
