One of all difficulties in order to determinate of maximum allowable concentration of anthracite coal dust in the workplace is the exact value of the quartz percentages which is contained in anthracite coal dust. The maximum allowable concentration of anthracite coal dust on environmental engineering in the underground anthracite coal mining is very necessary for health of mine workers. So, the anthracite coal dust appearance from the tests on the anthracite coal cutting by the mechanical tools was received and burned in the oven of laboratory for the German Institute for Standardization (DIN-Deutsches Institut für Normung) in order to determinate the percentage of quartz in anthracite coal dust. The result of numerous cutting tests by the mechanical cutting tools on the anthracite coal samples shows a clear relation between the percentage of quartz in anthracite coal dust emission and the cutting parameters.
Finally discussions and conclusions for the approaches of dust control during of mechanical destruction process are derived and the maximum allowable concentration of anthracite coal dust in the workplace may be predicted for the prevention of the anthracosis.
