Abstract

The article delves into the intriguing relationship between quantum memory and the speed limit time for CP-(in)divisible channels. It discusses the theoretical framework and experimental evidence supporting the notion that non-Markovian environments can accelerate quantum evolution. The study employs various measures, including relative purity, quantum Fisher information, and Bures angle, to quantify the impact of memory on speed limit time. Notably, it introduces a novel approach to quantify non-Markovianity based on deviations from temporal self-similarity, offering a fresh perspective on the dynamics of open quantum systems. The article is organized into sections that explore the quantification of non-Markovianity, the effect of quantum memory on speed limit time, and the implications for both pure and mixed initial states. The findings highlight the beneficial role of memory in enhancing the speed of quantum evolution, suggesting potential applications in quantum computing and information processing.
