Abstract

This article delves into the influence of implicit emotions on the use of theory of mind among college students in China. It begins by defining theory of mind and highlighting the gap in research focusing on adults. The study then explores how different emotional states—positive, neutral, and negative—affect cognitive processing and decision-making. Utilizing innovative research paradigms, the authors investigate the impact of implicit emotional priming on college students' ability to understand and predict others' behaviors. The results provide valuable insights into the role of emotions in social interactions and cognitive development, contributing to the broader understanding of theory of mind in adults.
