Abstract

The study investigates the impacts of intelligent feedback on learning achievements and perceptions in inquiry-based science learning from 2013 to 2023. Intelligent feedback, facilitated by artificial intelligence, has shown positive effects on students' learning outcomes and attitudes. The meta-analysis synthesizes 42 empirical studies, revealing that intelligent feedback has a moderate positive impact on both learning achievements and learning perceptions. The study also identifies several moderators, such as feedback timing, feedback techniques, and control over feedback, that significantly influence the effectiveness of intelligent feedback. This comprehensive analysis offers valuable insights for educators and researchers aiming to enhance inquiry-based science learning through intelligent feedback.
