This chapter delves into the intricate relationship between health conditions, psychoactive substance use, and the intention to use the metro in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It highlights the significant impact of factors such as alcohol consumption, crowd anxiety, and physical health issues on public transport habits. The study employs a Classification and Regression Tree (CART) model to analyze data from 300 residents, revealing that frequent alcohol consumers and those prone to inattentive driving are less likely to use the metro. Conversely, individuals experiencing crowd anxiety show a higher inclination towards metro usage. The research also underscores the importance of considering health conditions and psychoactive substance use in urban planning and public health strategies.
