Abstract

The article introduces a cutting-edge least squares off-line parameter identification method for half-dead compensated induction motors, based on a non-angle virtual rotating vector orientation. This innovative method addresses the limitations of traditional techniques, such as no-load and locked-rotor tests, by enabling simultaneous identification of all motor parameters while the motor is stationary. The method incorporates a novel non-angle voltage setting method using SVPWM and a half dead-zone compensation strategy to eliminate the dead-zone effect, reducing switching losses and improving system stability. Additionally, the method simplifies the linear model equations by transforming single-phase signals into virtual rotating vectors, eliminating the need for derivative calculations. The proposed method has been validated through simulations and experiments, demonstrating high accuracy and efficiency in parameter identification. This groundbreaking approach offers significant advancements in motor control, system modeling, and fault diagnosis, making it a must-read for professionals in the field.
