Abstract

The chapter explores the development of a regression model to predict maximum hail size using meteorological parameters from global atmospheric models. It addresses the limitations of traditional hail prediction methods and introduces a novel approach using the GFS model's output data. The model is designed to predict hail size up to three days in advance, with a focus on the most informative atmospheric parameters.
