Abstract

The chapter focuses on the development of the Nuremberg Address Knowledge Graph (NA-KG), a significant component of the larger Nuremberg History Knowledge Graph project. The NA-KG is constructed from the 1910 Nuremberg address book, containing detailed information on historical residents and organizations. The process involves data extraction from scanned and transcribed address books, segmentation, and normalization using reference vocabularies. The resulting NA-KG, consisting of 860,000 RDF triples, offers valuable insights into the demographics, occupations, and business distribution of Nuremberg in 1910. This structured data allows for the exploration of social status, family relations, and business developments, providing a rich resource for historical and cultural research.
