Abstract

The chapter delves into the paradigm shift in quality management due to Industry 4.0, highlighting the need for quality managers to adapt to digitalization. It explores the essential skills required for the transition, such as analytical reasoning, statistical tool adoption, and Six Sigma management. The study combines direct observation, focus groups, and interviews to identify these skills, offering a unique perspective on the future of quality management in the digital era. The findings emphasize the importance of leadership, communication, and adaptability, while also underscoring the need for technological expertise. The chapter concludes by suggesting future research directions and emphasizing the critical role of quality managers in achieving organizational excellence in the Industry 4.0 era.
