Rapid urbanization is shifting populations toward cities, yet billions in rural areas face challenges in accessing markets, healthcare, and infrastructure. Smart villages address these gaps by deploying IoT-based sensor networks, AI-driven analytics, edge computing, and cloud technology to foster sustainability and resilience. This paper presents a novel Smart Village platform integrating smart farming, healthcare, retail e-commerce, intelligent lighting, parking, traffic management, security, and environmental monitoring. The farming module leverages IoT and AI to enhance agricultural efficiency, achieving a 91% accurate crop prediction model, while healthcare improves medical access through telemedicine, significantly speeding up diagnoses. Retail e-commerce empowers rural economies, boosting farmer incomes by 25% and improving goods access for most villagers. We analyze the platform’s multi-layered architecture, data processing, and open API framework, addressing challenges like cybersecurity, privacy, and interoperability. This paper presents a roadmap to highlight AI, 5G, and blockchain as future enablers, with findings suggesting that predictive analytics and decentralized systems can transform rural communities into connected, economically vibrant ecosystems, aligning with global sustainability goals.
