One key activity in the development process is safety validation of systems according to ISO 26262. This has the purpose of verifying the effectiveness of safety mechanisms and of ensuring that potential failure scenarios can be controlled by the end user. In order to check the controllability in an application-oriented manner for critical driving situations, IAV relies on a method of trials with test persons in conjunction with a psychologically concept.
