Abstract

The article delves into the use of cellulose nanocrystals and diatomite to support Ca(OH)2 nanoparticles, enhancing sulphur capture efficiency at low temperatures. The research focuses on optimising the sorbent matrix through various hydration parameters and temperatures. The study employs response surface methodology to model and analyse the effects of these variables on sulphation capacity and sorbent utilisation. The results showcase the potential of the developed sorbent in improving desulphurisation efficiency, making it a valuable resource for professionals seeking innovative solutions in environmental and chemical industries.
