Abstract

The article delves into the concept of generalized Hamming weights (GHWs) of linear codes, introduced by Helleseth et al. and Kløve, and their significant implications in cryptography and coding theory. It provides a detailed study of the weight hierarchies of three classes of linear codes constructed using defining sets, including their constructions, methods for calculating their GHWs, and examples validated through Magma experiments. The research offers novel approaches to determine the weight hierarchies of these codes, contributing to the broader understanding of linear codes in cryptographic applications.
